Can you believe my babies are 3 years old today? It’s crazy that three years ago Alicia had twins. Twins...how did that happen? And now every time I see them I don’t know how it could be any other way. They are the most fun, cutest, loving little girls. Kev and I are so blessed to have them in our life. Happy 3rd Birthday Lainey & Emery🎉

Have you ever had a Crumbl Cookie? I’ve only had a couple but they are really good. Every week they change the cookies they are making. This week the Cornbread cookie is on the menu. It was a new flavor a few months ago and OMG it is the most delicious cookie ever. Ever. It’s only on the menu for this week so we’ll see if I treat myself and go get one.

Today was the birthday party for Lainey and Emery. They are turning 3 on Tuesday. The theme of the party was Donut Grow Up. It was a 9:00 am party so that Alicia could serve donuts. It was really cute. The girls, and other kids had a great time and loved playing with their new house and kitchen.

Alicia sent me this photo of the two big presents that the girls are getting tomorrow for their birthday party. They put them together after the kids went to bed cause she wanted them to be a surprise when they wake up. The house is from them and then the kitchen is from Kev and I.

I got this notice today on my Strava app. I sign up for different challenges on the app just for fun and this was one I completed today. It’s a consistency one, where you had to walk at least 4 days a week for 4 weeks. I actually have walked every day since 11/28/19, so I’m being very consistent.

Last year when we were in the Greer area camping we did a hike in the area by the Sunrise Ski Resort. We decided to go back and do that hike again. Its called the Mount Baldy Wilderness trail. There are actually a couple different ones called Mount Bauldy, but we did the same one cause we knew we liked it. It’s a really nice trail with great views and a lot of the trail is in the shade. Kev’s knee has really been bothering him so we hiked a little over a mile and a half and he decided to sit and wait for me to go farther. I went to about the three mile mark and then turned around and caught back up with him and we headed back together.
There’s a new brewery up in Pinetop and Kev wanted to try it, so we went there for dinner. The consensus was that the beer was good but the food just ok. Not that I drank any beer but I did agree about the food. It was just ok.

Today we went back to Hawley Lake so Kev could do some fishing and then we could also ride our kayaks. I wanted to get a hike/walk in so I did that while Kev was fishing. They are doing a lot of thinning of the forest in the lake area and they are really doing a nice neat job. Everywhere where they have cut trees they have the wood all nice and neatly stacked.

I went and did the same hike that Kev and I did yesterday. His knee is really bothering him so I went by myself. Since we did the hike yesterday I knew the trail and it’s not far from where we’re staying.

We went to Rainbow Lake today so the kids could use their fishing poles. It ended up that we pulled out the kayaks and Heather and David went out for a ride. Once they got back the girls wanted a turn too. At first they just sat in them, but then I walked around with them each having a turn in the kayak in the water.

Alicia and the kids and Heather and David came up to Pinetop for a few days to hang out with Kev and I. The place that Kev and I are staying at has all kinds of activities. There’s a playground, a little putt putt course, indoor racquet ball court, indoor pool, bbq grills, cornhole boards plus the room we have is actually a little suite with a full kitchen. It’s a great little place. Once those guys got up here we had to take advantage of some of our amenities. We took the girls to the playground and then golf course. Alicia stayed with Eli while he napped. Poor guy missed out.

Yesterday was the first day we took the kayaks out and I took some pictures and videos but I had my phone in a plastic bag so they didn’t come out. We took them out again today and before Kev got in his he took a video of me. This is a pic from the video. ( for some reason I can’t post the video) But...kayaking is so fun. Today was a little better then yesterday. I was really nervous yesterday about flipping over. It took me a while to put my legs in cause I thought I would get stuck if I flipped, which I wouldn’t, cause they would slip right out. But today I was more relaxed and decided if I flip I flip. But no flipping lol

Headed north to get out of the heat. First stop was Woods Canyon Lake. Kev did some fishing, without catching any, and I did some hiking around the lake. Good start to our get out of town vacation.
