So out in Litchfield Park they had a groundbreaking ceremony for a new complex they are building, honestly I don’t know all the details. But they posted a picture of my brother Dick who was at the ceremony, wearing his I love Litchfield Park t-shirt.

I played some Pickleball at my friend Laura’s place, she has lights so it gives me the chance to go play at night. We played some girl games as well as some mixed. This was a mixed game and I’m actually playing against her.

My cousin posted this picture on Facebook and I couldn’t resist keeping a copy. I’m one of the youngest ones in the picture with my standard bob with bangs haircut. It’s a picture of my grandparents with almost all their grandkids. It was my grandma’s 80th birthday in 1969.

Today was Grandparents Day and we had the kids overnight so took them down to the activities that Encanterra set up. They had a jump house with a water slide and the kids loved it. So many people shows up with kids and didn’t realize that there was going to be water involved so they weren’t dressed for it. We were prepared because we saw it happen last year.
After some play time we came home and hung out and the girls helped me make some chocolate pudding for an after dinner treat.

I went over to Mary’s house to hang out with her and Teresa. Teresa’s been sleeping a lot but then occasionally she wants to get up and walk around. Today some friends were also over so she decided she needed to make some cocktails for everyone.

Since I have a bunch of yogurt now I decided to add some to one of my favorite breakfasts. My protein pancake with fruit, but today it also has yogurt.

Have you ever had this brand of Greek yogurt? It’s really good, plus it has a lot of protein in it. I found it at Costco in a case and so many times the stuff in the case has flavors I don’t like, but this one has all good flavors. Vanilla, mixed berry and strawberry.

I thought it was unusual to see a cactus with some new flowers on it. I usually see them more in the spring. This was one I saw in someone’s yard on my walk .

Yvonne and I organized a group of girls to come play at our courts this morning. Always a fun time, but so hot.

Usually I get some good sunset pictures when I’m out walking, but today I caught a sunrise picture when I was going to play Pickleball. It’s way too early.

Alicia was going over to swim at her friend Caitlin’s house so she invited Kev and I to come too. Caitlin was out of town and we had the other grandkids so we thought it would be fun to all go use this pool. It’s a really nice big pool and so much room to swim and play.

I told myself I was going to be more committed to going to some OTF classes on a regular basis. This is today’s summary, and I know I need lots of improvement but that’s what going regularly will help me do.

Here’s the story behind this picture. When we were on one of our girls trip Carolyn has one of these and wears it to bed every night. It has ear speakers in it and she puts it over her eyes like a mask and listens to an audio book. I was very intrigued by it so I bought one. I tried wearing it here and there and usually wound up taking it off after a couple hours. But I did like it. We have a girls weekend coming up and we were in a group text talking about who is sharing a room with who and I have shared a room with Carolyn a few times. She snores and it bothers some people but I could care less. Anyway, I took this picture and said “you can’t get rid of me roomie, we’re twinning.”

It’s been so hot that my walks have not been very long. Today was finally one that was a good amount of miles.
Alicia is having a Mickey Mouse party for Eli’s birthday coming up in October. I was checking out stuff on Pinterest that I might be able to make to help out. Thinking maybe some of these little cookies.

It’s kind of hard to tell in this picture, but it’s a picture of all this new fencing that they put up around a nice grass area and parking lot by the tennis courts. Shea is actually building some new condos in this spot. It’s sad cause it was a really pretty grass area and it’s now going to be 2 & 3 story condos. I don’t have a before picture but will have an after once they are built.

The kids were suppose to come spend the night but Kev had been with a guy who tested positive for Covid so as a precaution Alicia kept them home. They were mad when they found out they weren’t getting to come over. They had their bags packed and were on their way when she turned around and went home. Eli had his Papa saurus shirt on and she took this sad pic of him.

Once again a picture about eating. I thought this was funny cause my sisters and I do this thing we call “sliver slice” where you cut a really thin piece of cake so it doesn’t really count as a piece.....it’s just a sliver slice. But actually, I like eating the whole cake as one piece. lol

Haha this is so me, at least if I had kids at home. Now I just wait til Kev goes to bed and then eat them so he doesn’t know I did til he goes to eat some and they’re all gone.
