So I played Pickleball at 8:00 this morning and then again at 1:00 and then went for a 2.6 mile walk. All that gave me about 24,590 steps plus according to Fitbit I had at least 250 steps every hour today for 12 hours. It’s cool they give you this little message.

I met Alicia at Freestone park this morning so we could go for a walk and then the kids could play at the playground and they also feed the ducks. Feeding the ducks made me really nervous cause they would take a step to throw their bread and I was so worried they were gonna fall in. The water was so gross and I told Alicia I didn’t want to go in. I made sure I put my phone down in case I had to. lol

I’ve been seeing some buds popping up on some cactus in the compound when I’m out walking, but today I walked by this one in full bloom. So pretty when the flowers are all opened up.

I have these two windows with a narrow wall, one on each side of the tv cutout, and I’ve been wanting to put some new pictures in them. This is what I’ve come up with, of course all from Hobby Lobby. So far, I think I like it.

Well.....today was the first time I have been inside Fry’s in a year. I quit going last year when Covid started because people were so careless and rude about wearing masks and keeping their distance. Our Fry’s is soooooo busy all the time so I started doing grocery pick up. I love it. I go on the app and place my order, pick what time I want to pick it up and then they put it in the trunk and I go. I went inside today cause I needed some stuff and there were no times available that worked for me. I went early, like 7:30 am so it wasn’t real busy. But honestly, I’ll probably stick with pick up. It’s so convenient and I spend less money cause I really just pick what we need instead of seeing things I might need or want.

Was heading out to go play Pickleball but needed Kev to take my picture for one of the games I’m in. It’s a hydration game, where you take a picture of yourself drinking water. The host of this particular game also has photo prompts for you to get in your picture. For today it was of a backpack. For me, my backpack is my Pickleball bag.

Who doesn’t love bacon? I came home from Pickleball this morning and Kev had cooked up a couple pounds of bacon. So delicious and even better that he did all the work and had it all cooked.

On my Partylite website there is a sale on 3 Wick Jar Candles. Today two new scents came out so I got them as part of my 3/$60 purchase. The description of the scents sounds good so hopefully they smell great.

I worked in the garage for hours. I got the shelf in the corner in order as well as the cabinet next to it. I took a before of each a few days ago but these are the side by sides.

Alicia and I had a great time today decorating Mary’s house because Teresa was moving home from Denver. We knew they’d be home later today so we went over before they arrived. I had told Colleen of our plans and she told us the code to get in the garage and house and then we went around and hung some decorations and signs and some flower bouquets. Once they arrived Teresa text us and told us how much she loved it. Makes me happy.
Funny thing.....Alicia had bought this big balloon that was really pretty and colorful and said Welcome Home. When we got there she tied it to the water box out front and then when we went out to hang the signs up outside it was gone 😩 It had blown away.

Today is Kev’s mom’s 93rd birthday. She is pretty much healthy, lives on her own in a retirement community and gets around great. She wanted steak for her birthday dinner so we took her to Texas Road House.

Today there was a St Patrick’s Day Pickleball tournament at Encanterra. I signed up to play and we had a group that we did a round robin with. It was fun to play back to back games for a couple hours. It was followed with dinner but I opted out of that cause we went to the Brooks house for dinner. Fun day with lots of green!!

I saw this post on Facebook about decorating Easter eggs and I had to check it out. There were some really cool ones, but these two were my favorites and ones I thought I could actually handle doing. If it happens, they’ll be a future picture of my decorated eggs.

I went to do a hike today and while I was there I picked up my hiking challenge t-shirt and certificate. Last year they had a celebration at each park but they couldn’t do it this year with Covid. So I went and got it at the office and had the lady take my picture. Still really happy about my mileage. The lady in the office said I was #5 in hiking mileage out of over 500 participants. Pretty cool!!

I love my sweets but since I’m really trying to stay away from them right now this is one of my “go to’s” when I want a treat at night. It’s cut up strawberries with a cut up Lara Bar (cashews & dates) and then some coconut on top. It’s really yummy and usually hits the spot.

I saw this post on FB about the hiking challenge that I did. I thought all the information was interesting. I fall into the 400-499 miles completed and also went to 4 different parks. I mostly did the majority of my miles at San Tan Mountain.

So one of the new walking games I’m doing is also a scavenger hunt. The host of the game posted a list of things to look for when you’re out on your walk. I found almost all of them the first day. I’ll still take pictures if I keep finding the items in new places. Plus I’ll still look for the ones I haven’t found yet.
