February 24, 2010 Mary Poppins

For Valentine's Day, Kev gave me two tickets to go see Mary Poppins. I was so excited, and surprised!!! We went to dinner before hand at Outback and that turned into a little bit of a disaster. We waited and waited for our food and finally at ten to seven I said to the waiter, we have a play to go to and it starts at 7:30 so could you just pack our food up to go and bring the bill, we need to leave. No big deal, not being mean, stuff happens. Anyways, the manager came over and apologized and Kev told him no problem but could you bring the bill cause as soon as we get the food we need to leave and he said, "it's on us tonight". Sweet!!! I know we didn't get to eat but no problem. When we got in the car of course we were both saying too bad we didn't order drinks and the most expensive things on the menu!!!
But....the night was about the play and it was great. We really enjoyed it, only I'm not allowed to tell Kev's friends he went to see Mary Poppins!!

February 23, 2010 Bahama Mama Night

I have 3 friends, Kim, Holly & Becky and we call ourselves the Bahama Mamas. We said we wanted to try to get together every month or maybe every other month so we could stay in touch and hang out. We take turns planning what we are going to do each time we meet. Well......it was my turn to plan and I totally dropped the ball and we haven't seen each other since July of last year. I know shame on me right? Anyways, since it had been so long I thought that we just needed to spend time together and visit. Everyone came to my house, I made dinner we talked and talked and then sat in the jacuzzi and talked some more. Great night. Plus we planned the next 3 times we are getting together!!

February 15, 2010 Quadding with JR, Madeline & Lianna

Since President's Day was an extra day off for Kev we had plans to go quadding. JR & Lianna were going to go out for a ride as well that day, so along with Madeline we all went out together. We headed out to Queen Valley, parked and took off for a couple of hours. The dessert is really green right now from all the rain so it made for a good ride with great scenery.

February 7, 2010 Super Bowl Party

We had a Super Bowl party again this year. It was definitely alot different from last year. I remember last year everyone watched the entire game and all the commercials because the Cardinals were playing in it. This year, not so much. At least I really wasn't into it. Regardless, we still had a good group and alot of fun.

Earlier in the day, Lianna and I played Corn Hole and could not be beat. We were following up from our reign at the Tree Burn. Then Juan and Jessenia took us down. They in turn fought to keep their title against Madeline & Theresa, whom Lianna & I beat!!!

February 3, 2010 My Birthday

My birthday this year fell on Kev's day off so we spent the day together, and it was really fun. First we started with breakfast at TC Eggingtons, which was super yummy. Then we went to see the movie "When in Rome", it was cute. We were just lazy the rest of the day and then met the kids for dinner at Claim Jumpers. Again....super yummy.

January 17, 2010 "The Narrows" at Tree Burn

Madeline's cousin Steven took us for a ride out to a place that's called The Narrows. It is just a river wash where the sides of the rocks are really high and at spots you can barely fit your vehicle through.

Junior was having a ton of fun driving the Rhino that Kev, Madeline & I were in, but since we were following Steven we got so dirty. I did get to drive for the last couple of miles on the

way back to camp and it was really cool.

January 15 - 17 Tree Burn Weekend in Yuma

What a great weekend. We go down to a place called Pacacho, CA. It is right outside of Yuma.
There aren't a whole lot of trees around, which is completely different then what Kev and I like to camp in all summer, but there are all kinds of trails to ride quads on and always a great group of people to hang out with.

We had two TV's set up so that we could watch the Cardinals playoff game. What's camping without TV right? Plus we had other games to play as well.

Whenever we camp Kev always does this firewalk over the campfire, so after he did then Theresa wanted to do it.

After a few drinks the dance off to YMCA was on. Madeline's cousin Paulette and Pam's sister Paula from Kentucky were really into it.

January 16, 2010 Tree Burn

The Annual Tree Burn was once again a great fire. Uncle Tom brought out a trailer full of trees and all the guys stacked them to get them ready for the burn.
