December 25, 2017 Alicia’s Engaged

It was a great Christmas.  Alicia got engaged and we are so thrilled.   We celebrated Christmas at Mary's house and it was so funny cause she had a necklace on and Mary said to her, "is that new?"  and Alicia said "no, but this is."  And she showed her her engagement ring.  It was really exciting.  Everyone was giving them hugs and congratulating them.

Then after we were done opening presents she said that Arnold are her wanted to let everyone know that they were pregnant.  Everyone was so excited and congratulating them and then she said "with twins."  No one could believe it.  It was so fun having her tell everyone and everyone being surprised and excited for them.  Kev and I already knew cause they had taken us to dinner back in November and told us and it was so hard to have to keep it a secret.  But now the secret was out and we were just waiting to hear what they would be, boys or girls or one of each.  They are due July 29th.

December 22,2017 Baby Kevin

Hunter and Jessi has another baby and this time it was a boy!!! They named him after Kev and his daddy.  He is Kevin Hunter Burgener.  He was 6lbs 8oz and 19in long.  He’s a great size and a healthy baby boy.  Kev and I and Heather went to the hospital to see him.  So tiny and cuddly.

December 8-10, 2017 Annabelle Weekend

Annabelle came to spend the night again.  Yay!!! And this time I wasn’t  sick.  She is so fun and such a good baby.  Sarah has her on a good schedule and she lives by it, which I’m sure is why she’s always so good and happy.

We had a fun time the first night and she of course got a bath in the sink which she loved.

The next day Alicia came over and we decided to take some Christmas pictures.  Paul, Sarah and Annabelle were going to Australia for Christmas so we thought we'd have some fun playing with Belle in some pictures.
Then Kev and I took her to see Santa at the Clubhouse.

December 3, 2017 Christmas Stroll

The Christmas Stroll is an annual event at Encanterra.  It starts with collecting Toys for Tots for a few days before the stroll.  Then the day is the stroll everyone has the golf cart decorated and we meet at the main clubhouse and then drive to the Algarve.  At Algarve everyone lines their cart up to get votes for the best decorated cart.  Plus all the toys are there to be picked up by the Salvation Army.  It ends up being a big party with cocktails and snacks, got chocolate and a band.  It was so fun and everyone really gets into it, not just decorating their cart but having holiday hats and outfits on as well.
This was our cart.  We had fun trying to come up with ideas on what to do.

It was so amazing to see all the toys that had been collected as well as a bunch of bikes.  People were so generous.

December 2, 2017 Queen Creek Parade and Festival

Kev and I had seen that Queen Creek was having a Christmas parade in downtown QC.  We picked up the girls and took them to watch it.  There were a few floats, some bands etc and lots of people throwing out candy to kids.  Of course the final float of the day was Santa.  It was a great little parade and fun to sit wand watch.  Afterwards we asked around and actually got to see Santa and then go thru some of the jumping courses.  We stopped at Chick fil’A to eat dinner and then they were asleep within 10 minutes down the road.

November 3, 2017 Annabelle Sleep Over

Paul and Sarah were going to California with a group of friends for a winery tour.  They have had it planned for a while and had me locked in to watch Annabelle before the committed to going.  I was looking forward to having her for 4 days all to myself.  The first day/night went great.  But then I woke up the next morning sick as a dog.  I couldn’t even get out of bed.  I called Alicia and asked her to come help me.  She came over and picked up Belle and just took her to her house and stayed there the rest of the weekend.  I felt bad and didn’t tell Paul & Sarah cause I didn’t want them to worry.  They would text and ask how she was and I’d check with Alicia and then give them an update.  Once they got home I told them what happened.  They said I should have told them but understood once I explained I didn’t want them to feel bad for me or worry about Belle.

Alicia had a ball with Belle.   They played together and also went for a ride in her new wagon.

As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
