May 29, 2009 Kim & Kathy's Birthday Night Out

We had a girls night out to celebrate Kim &
Kathy's birthdays. We started at a little
place in Scottsdale called Cafe Carumba.
The margaritas were delicious (so I was told,
I volunteered to be the DD) and the food
was really yummy too.

I think we tried just about every appetizer
they had, but the southwest egg rolls were
amazing, they even look good in pictures!

After Cafe Carumba we went to a wine bar
called Kazmier. It took us a while to find it
but we finally did. It was a few drinks there
with some chocolate fondue dessert to call it a night.

May 25, 2009 Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day BBQ that included
volleyball, hillbilly horseshoes and of course family
and friends.

Nic & Becca....I told you you'd make my blog,
and don't forget, chest out..... tummy in!!!!

Heather waiting her turn, while Kev gives
some hillbilly horseshoe lessons to niece Colleen
and her friend Megan.

May 25, 2009 Paul's Birthday

We actually celebrated Paul's birthday
on Memorial Day since we were having a bbq,
but his birthday is really on the 24th.
He came over with his roommates Eric
and Mark (there you guys made my blog)
along with other family and friends.

I had to give Paul a special treat of his
favorite drink......strawberry milk. He use to
take the gallon jug and pour strawberry syrup
in it, shake it and then drink right from the carton.
And he thought I wasn't watching!!!!

Happy 23rd Birthday Patchey!!!!

So Alicia asks me if I want to go for a bike ride.
I figured what the heck, I just got a tune up
on my bike and it seems to be riding pretty good.
She has decided that she wants to ride her
bike to work occassionally but needs to know
how long it will take her. So we hop on and
get set to ride a little over 6 miles to her work.
Kevin is convinced we won't make it there and back
so we call him to come pick us up. When he comes
out to jump in the truck to come to our rescue we
are standing in the driveway. So there.... we did
it there and back. Not in record time but we made
it and that's all that counts!!!!

May 10, 2009 Mother's Day

For Mother's Day we just hung out at home.
The kids came over, (except for Paul he was
in Vegas) and we just enjoyed being out in
the pool. We barbequed and Kevin's mom joined
us for dinner. Good relaxing day!!
What do you think of that couch in the back yard?
We got new couches and Kevin thinks
having that one on the back patio is awesome.
Can you say Apache Junction?

May 9, 2009 Gamma Awards Banquet

I love this tree when it is in bloom, but I don't
get much time to enjoy it. It has it's purple
flowers for about 2 1/2 months and then they're
gone. Overall the backyard is looking so good,
thanks to Kevin. We'll be hitting the other
side of the yard soon with this hot weather.
The POOL!!!!!
As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
