September 16, 2018 Celebrating Birthdays

Kev loves the Mexican restaurant Valle Luna.  So when I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday he said go to Valle Luna.  Alicia lives a mile from there and Heather was available to come so we all met up there to celebrate both Alicia and Kev’s birthday which are on the same day, the 18th.  It was just what he wanted, so cold beer, some good Mexican food and some football on the tv.

The gurls has their Cardinals outfits on.  Too cute!

September 7, 2018 Craft Day

This time it was Yvonne’s turn to plan our craft.  She’s had been saying for a while that she wanted to do a wreath so that’s what we did.   It was a glitter and glue gun day.
Yvonne and I were doing the same colors on our wreaths, red, green & silver.
Cheryl and Mindy went with the blues and silver color balls.
The bar by the room we were in, so we decided a pina colada was perfect to go with crafting.

This is my wreath.  It’s hard to tell but there are also lights on them too.

I was just looking back and realized that I never posted about our other craft day.  After doing the mosaic pieces Mindy thought that we should do something once a month if it works out and get together and do a craft of some sort.  One of us would plan it and buy all the supplies and then we’d get together and craft.  I am not crafty at all so the whole idea sounds fun but will be interesting to see how it all turns out.
This was our first craft, it was Mindy’s idea and planning.  We started with just some rocks we found around the neighborhood and then painted them and made our own little rock gardens.

September 5, 2018 Uptown Jump

The girls had early release from school today so we made arrangements to go pick them up so we could go to the jump place to celebrate Santanah’s birthday which was a few weeks ago.  We picked up Annalise and Santanah and then Hunter met us there with Avah and Baby K.  It’s really a cool place that has all kinds of slides and trampolines and climbing paths plus some climbing walls.  The girls had a great time and even the baby had fun crawling around and finding a thing or two to play on.

August 23, 2018 Outfits

The twins have some really cute matching outfits.  It's so fun to see them all matchy matchy.  I don't know if Alicia will always dress them alike but for now she has alot of the same outfits for them so why not?

August 14, 2018 Knee Surgery

I had put it off long enough.....I was having my other knee, my right one, replaced.  It's been giving me problems for a while and I have done all I can besides getting it replaced to keep it functioning.  So it was time.  I was excited to be getting it done, but also nervous to be getting it done.  It's gonna hurt lol  But on the bright side, then it won't hurt anymore.

Only a few hours after surgery, they had me up and walking the halls.  Ouch!!!

I have more updates on my knee on a blog I have been keeping about this surgery and my last one.

August 6, 2018 Look at those Bellies

They are so cute.  It's just all around amazing to me that we now have these two little babies in our lives.  And I can't even tell you what an awesome mom Alicia is.  I just loved this pic she sent me after one of their feedings.  They look like they are in a total food coma with their bellies just poking out.

August 5, 2018 Golfing

I am not a golfer.   I barely know how and I am not good at it at all.  Kev loves it and he really wants me to learn how and like it so we can golf together.  Whatever.....lol   But for weeks Greg Duke and Kev have been saying so we're golfing soon, don't forget we're golfing on the 5th etc etc.  And I would just laugh.  But then it came to the 5th, so we went golfing.  I have to say, it was fun, but so frustrating cause I really don't know what I'm doing but I guess I'm learning.  Duke was awesome at helping me so that was good.  And really the worst thing was the fact that it took 5 hours and it was 114*.  Ugh so hot.

July 28, 2018 Baby Weekend

Arnold's sister, Liz, was getting married up in Flagstaff and I told Alicia we could keep the babies for them so they could go and not worry and taking care of them.  I pretty much knew the schedule they were on and how she had them eating and how often, I just didn't know how the nights have been cause I am only over there during the day.  But hey, Kev and I were up for the challenge.  They dropped the girls off Saturday morning and then were on their way.

This was a picture of them at the wedding.

The can be all snug and swaddled but still manage to get loose so they can touch each other.

The girls did great, and so did we.  They slept in their pack and play right outside our room so we could hear them which was no problem.  Emery had a hard time getting settled after one of the night feedings, so Kev got up and just held her and rocked her.  They were going to come home on Sunday and get them but I told them we could keep the girls again.  Alicia didn't want to cause she felt bad Emery was fussy, but I told her it was fine and she really wasn't bad at all.  They decided to come back from Flag and then just go home and get a good nights sleep in their own bed.  So we ended up keeping the girls both Sat & Sun night.  Overall I would say we had a successful babysitting weekend.
As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
