 Today’s Pic of the Day:

Janet and Diane spent the night at my house after the shower but we are all going back to the other side of town later today.  Janet rented another house in Arrowhead Lakes so all us girls could stay together for the rest of the week.  But before we left,  we had to get our walk in.  I shared my awesome sun hats with them, they loved them.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

I have been working for days on some cute little decorations for a surprise baby shower Alicia and I were throwing for Heather.  We decided since the aunts were all going to be in town that it would be fun to do something special for her.  We went with the Woodland Animals theme.  Everything turned out really cute and Heather was surprised.  She was late and was so shocked she was late for her own party.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

Janet rented a house that wasn’t too far from the party so we could stay there all together after the party.  It was in a community called Arrowhead Lakes and had a little lake in the back and the house had a pontoon we could use.  Not only were all the family members there but so were a bunch of Teresa’s friends.  In fact we had too many people there and the manager of the property came by and said we had to have everyone leave.

But....before we all broke up a group went out for a pontoon ride.  All the kids were excited to go out on the boat.  The only problem was they ran out of power.  It cut their ride short but they carefully and slowly cruised back to the dock.

Today was the day that Teresa had planned to have a party to celebrate herself.  It was to celebrate with everyone she loves and loves her.  It was an awesome celebration and she was so beautiful and so happy.  I loved being a part of her amazing day.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

This is a post that I want to be able to write over and over every year but I won’t be able to.  According to the life that my niece Teresa lives and the diagnosis of her doctors her cancer is taking over and she will not outlive it.  She is one of the strongest young women I know.  She has endured so much in her life.  Today is her 34th birthday.  When you wish someone a happy birthday you always tell them to have the best year,  til their next birthday.  Well....this may be her last birthday.  She is having her best days , one by one.  She is being celebrated because of who she is and all she has given to everyone that knows her.  If only I could be as strong as she is.  If only I could say or do something to change what she is going through.  I can’t even write this without crying.  The tears flow but the love and prayers flow harder.  All I want is her to know that not just me, but everyone I know that knows her loves her so much.  Always❤️

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

Alicia sent me this picture the other day and I forgot I was going to use it for my pic of the day.  So I saved it and am using it today. All the kids are taking swim lessons and doing great.

We picked up Hunter and Jess’ kids today.  We went to a jump place where they like to go.  The girls went and did all kinds of activities but Kevy just wanted to play with his cars. Right before we left he decided he wanted to jump on the trampolines.  After playing there we came back to the house and played some games and just hung out.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

It’s not a real exciting picture but if you’ve ever been to Texas Roadhouse then you know this is a picture of their amazing rolls and cinnamon butter.  Kev and I went to an early dinner there today because it’s our anniversary.  Normally I don’t eat the rolls cause I’m always trying not to eat bread but of course I gave myself the excuse that it’s our anniversary so I should eat one.  Well one turned to three and of course with lots of the delicious butter.  Boy were they good.  It’s been years since I’ve had one.  Happy 23rd Anniversary to us❤️

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

Kev and I had been talking about replacing our couch cause it wasn’t all that comfortable.  Now the recliners were great but they were getting all worn and Kev’s recliner was all whacked up cause of the way he sits in it.  Heather and David were getting rid of their sectional cause it was too big for the room they had it in in their new house.  It’s actually too big for our room too but it’s so comfy that we were gonna make it work. Plus it matches the rocking chair and pillows we already had.  We can’t set it up as a sectional but it fills the room and looks ok.  Kev’s new chair of course is the chaise part.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

It’s monsoon season here in Arizona so a storm can happen anytime and it seems like they are usually a surprise.  Caught this pretty sunset on the courts over at Natasha’s but then on the way home we got caught in a horrible wind and dust storm.  My friend Linda was driving and at one point everyone just stopped on the road while we waited for the wind and dust to blow over (get what I did there lol) But it was crazy, we couldn’t see anything in front of us and the wind was blowing so hard the car was shaking.

Again out on my walk I caught some great sights.  Right before the sunset it was sprinkling for a little bit and then out popped the rainbow.  It’s hard to see but one of the pictures actually has two rainbows.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

Another gorgeous sunset I caught while out on my walk.

As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
