We went to JR & Madeline’s for a graduation party for CeCe. Funny on the way home Kev says, how can we be that old that CeCe is graduating high school? I said I’m gonna be 60 next year!! Haha, yeah we are old. But it was fun to be part of the celebration and see everyone again.

It’s so funny. When the kids are here, the girls always pick the flowers off of all the plants outside. Today the geranium bushes were the pick of choice. They picked these really pretty red flowers but then they wanted me to put them in their hair.

I met up with my friend Kim today and we went out to lunch to celebrate her birthday. First I went to her house to see all the remodeling she has been doing and then we went around the corner to Manuel’s. Had a fun time spending a couple hours together catching up.

I can now wear my wedding ring. It’s been probably 10 years since I have. I broke the diamond off and kept putting off getting it fixed. I thought I would get a bigger diamond so I didn’t get it fixed. Well once I realized I didn’t need to spend money for a bigger diamond I just put it in a drawer and left it there. We have a guy in the hood that is a jeweler and a bunch of people have used him for different things so I decided to call him. He came to the house and picked up my ring and Kev’s too cause he broke his a couple months ago. Besides fixing the diamond my ring had to be sized up. He brought both our rings back today and it’s just so exciting to see my ring on my finger all bright and shiny.

This was an exciting day for my niece Lizzy and her husband JD. She had her baby!! This was a picture that Diane sent us and I just couldn’t help but make it my pic of the day. Baby Charles David has arrived 7.1lbs and 19.5 inches long.

One of Kev’s favorite meals to order when he goes out to eat is Chicken Marsala. When I came home from the funeral luncheon the other day and told him that’s what they served he was jealous. Carrabas is actually where he has had his best Marsala. So I decided to try and make it. Looked up a recipe on Pinterest, (where else would you look?) and got what I needed. He said it was good. He even said, where’d you get the sauce? I was like, I made it, all from scratch. Haha I don’t do that very often so not surprised he would ask that. I actually don’t like it, so I didn’t even try it. But he liked it so I guess I did good.

We were invited over to some friends house for a pizza party. Fun night with people from Encanterra as well as a few people that don’t live here but know through Pickleball. I’m not sure how this picture came about but I decided to jump in and be part of it.

For one of the games I’m playing it is reaching 10,000 steps a day. For me I always reach more then that because for my StepBet game my steps have to be between 11,600 - 14,200. For the 10,000 steps game you have to submit a picture of your device that counts your steps. These were my steps as of 4:30 and the pic I submitted. I actually finished out the day with 14,635.

Today Alicia and I went to a funeral for Teresa and Colleen’s grandma. It was a really nice ceremony honoring her and they both talked about her which I’m sure was hard, but so enjoyable to hear. We went to the cemetery and then the luncheon afterwards. Such a great tribute to her. She loved flowers and gardening so after they lowered the casket in the ground they had everyone come up and pick some flowers from the sprays that were on display and throw them in for Cheri to enjoy.

Kev usually goes to bed before me so that’s when I sit and watch my shows. Sometimes it’s stuff I have recorded and sometimes it’s just something on HGTV. This is the time that I have control of the remote. lol

So one of the games I play is called Hydration Nation. To play and win the game you have to post a picture of yourself drinking water. The game is to remind and encourage you to drink water. The girl that’s hosting the game these two weeks also adds in photo prompts. So she’ll say take your pic with a book in it, or a window etc. Today’s prompt was flowers. These are my flowers from Mother’s Day from Paul and Sarah, still looking good.

It’s true, you look at that pancake and think wow, that looks yummy. Well let me tell you it was. Today I had to give Yvonne a ride to homeland security to do some paperwork for her Visa. She finished up really quick and came out and said, let’s go out to breakfast. So we went to Snooze. This is the pancake of the week.

These two products are regular purchases at Costco for me. I use the almond milk for my morning smoothies and then the chicken broth mostly for my Chicken Tortilla-less Soup. It just works out better and is easier to buy the case of each of them so I have some extra on hand.

It’s very obvious that I wear socks. Crazy how it stands out and now that it’s that time of year to wear shorts and flip flops you can’t miss it. Maybe I’ll work on getting some sun time just for my feet.

The company that does StepBets also has an app with all kinds of other games. Unlike StepBet where the games are 6 weeks, the ones on the WayBetter app are only two weeks. Plus they are usually only $10. I’ve played in a few that were even only $5. These are the games I played in last week and what I won. Not big winnings but it all adds up. They are fun and keep me accountable to whatever the game is about.

Today is Mother’s Day and Alicia and Arnold and the kids as well as Heather and David came over. They came over pretty early and we went to the pool right away cause we figured it would get crowded as the day went on. The little ones had fun playing and practicing their swimming. Then once we came home we had lunch and then Lainey, Emery and Eli spent the night. It was a nice family day.

I think Kev was trying to be nice tonight since tomorrow is Mother’s Day and since the kids are coming over I made lasagna this afternoon for everyone for lunch tomorrow. Him being nice is suggesting to get take out from Oregano’s....yummy, and he went and picked it up. I got one of my favorites which is an order of meatballs and then I cook up some zucchini and add it to them. It’s so good.

Today Yvonne and I walked down to the Algarve and ate dinner. The guys were playing in a golf tournament so we decided to kill two birds with one stone and get our walk in plus get something to eat, which was some yummy chicken wings!!

I didn’t get one flower delivery today, I got two!!! I was super excited when the first one came from Paul, Sarah and Belle wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day, and then a box came with all these tulips in it came from Heather and David. I love fresh flowers and am feeling so loved❤️

I sometimes play in a ladies group on Wednesday mornings at the new courts at Gilbert Regional Park. Today was one of those Wednesdays. Fun group and lots of good pickleball.

This is just a funny thing I saw on Facebook. And it’s so weird that this has happened to Kev and I before. One day, Kev came home from riding his bike and said he needed a new seat, he hates the one he has. And low and behold, an ad for a bike seat showed up on my FB feed. Crazy right? And it’s happened with other things too.

This has been my saving grace today. It’s a corn bag, to use as a heating pad. I’m not sure why but I have a super sore neck on my left side since yesterday morning. So sore it’s hard to move and has given me a horrible headache the last two days. I just keep heating it up and putting it on my neck. I think it’s getting better, seems to be a little less sore then yesterday so I guess that’s a good sign.
