 Today’s Pic of the Day:

What a great day today.  Kev and I went with Alicia to take the kids to the zoo.  The weather was perfect cause it was kind of cool and overcast and plus it wasn’t real crowded so it was nice not fighting lots of people.  Unfortunately, all the kid stuff was closed but they still had a great time seeing what they did and making their way around the zoo.  It was their first time being able to ride the carousel because all the times Alicia has been to the zoo she hasn’t had enough people to be with each kid, so that was fun.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

I played some Pickleball over at Pecos Park this afternoon and on my way home I stopped to see the kids at Alicia’s.  She lives by Valle Luna, so I stopped to pick up some tacos and Mexican pizza for Kev, they’re his favorites.  While I was waiting for my order, in walked Joe Joe.  Haven’t seen him for a while so it totally made my day.

Had a family FaceTime call tonight.  So fun listening to the kids talk and laugh and pick on each other.  Makes my heart happy❤️

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

We have these paloverde trees all over the neighborhood.  They look so pretty when they are all in bloom, but they are so messy.  So messy in-fact, that they quit allowing people to plant them here.  Four of my neighbors that had them, had them cut down and removed.  For now I’ll just enjoy how pretty they are and be grateful they are not leaving their mess in my yard.

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

Kev’s been waiting for about a year to get a gel shot for his knee.  He was supposed to get it last year but it got pushed aside because of Covid.  So today was the day.  Hopefully he gets some relief from all the pain he has been having.  First picture he’s into watching getting his shot and then when the pressure starts to happen it hurts a little.

It’s been windy all day today.  So annoying.  Played some pickle or should I say tried to play some pickle but it was so hard.  I knew I needed to get my walk in so I went and walked in the wind.  Yvonne came with me and we came upon the flag poles and the flags were just fully extended from the wind.  They look so cool like that.

Look at my new pretty cup!! I always drink out of insulated cups because I like that they don’t sweat.  My niece Teresa works for Starbucks and gave me this new one.  Besides being so pretty, it’s bigger then the ones I usually use, double bonus.

We have this drawer that has all these old, random sunglasses in it and the kids know they’re in there.  They will take them all out and try them on and bring them over for Kev and I to try on, it’s pretty funny.  Eli found this pair that he liked.

Yesterday was Arnold’s birthday so Alicia invited some friends over for a bbq.  Lainey got to help blow out the candles on his cake.  I’m pretty sure Kev and I got invited cause she wanted us to take the kids home to spend the night.  lol

A fun day of Pickleball.  Yvonne and I invited some girls that don’t live here to come play some pickle.  It was really a great time.  Good games, lots of laughs and just a fun day. After we played for a few hours we all went up to the Algarve and had lunch.  We all agreed we need to do more of that next year.  A few of the girls were headed home for the summer next week.

I was face timing with Alicia this morning and it was so cute to see Vincent and Eli sitting in their matching jammies watching tv.  Eli loves his big brother so he had to sit by him and then when Vincent took a drink from his cup so did Eli.

Every now and then Kev and I will take the golf cart out and just cruise the compound.  Last night after dinner we decided to go for a ride.  Funny,  we passed this house and saw this golf cart crashed into the garage.  Not really sure how it happened but someone can’t open their garage.  lol

So yesterday I got my haircut and totally forgot I was going to do a before and after.  My hair was really long and I got quite a bit taken off.  Feels so good.  But, for today’s picture, it’s Carolyn enjoying a Pork Shop Burrito that I brought her yesterday.  I brought her two for lunch and she only ate one and then sent me a text thanking me for lunch again today.

These are some cute yard decorations I have that Kev’s friend Mark made.  He cuts all the designs out of cans.  Then he paints them all differently.  He’s really talented.  To think these were just empty soup, vegetable, juice and beer cans.  The one I have by the front door, the one with multiple flowers, is all attached to a dead cactus. Isn’t that cool?

 Today’s Pic of the Day:

My Pickleball friend Janice is miss crafty.  I’m telling you the lady is awesome.  She has sewn some stuff for Alicia, she made me a couple of really cute Christmas wreaths, she’s the one that made my bowl holders and she’s just super talented.  She got a new embroidery machine so she’s been making everyone she knows that plays Pickleball a sweat towel with their name on it.  Last week she was talking about other things she was working on to embroider and I said how about my hat? I happened to have it in my Pickleball bag so she said she’d see what she could do.  Well I saw her today and this was my surprise.  I love it.  I had another one in my bag and gave it to her to try something new on that.  Now that it’s getting hotter I wear these wider brim hats to keep the sun off my face and the back of my neck, it helps a lot.

My friend Laura invited me to come play Pickleball where she lives.  She used to only have 2 courts but they did this whole transformation of one of the tennis courts and made 4 new Pickleball courts.  All enclosed, with lights and seats around, it’s awesome!!

Lizzy’s baby shower is in a couple weeks and I just love the milkmaid swaddle sets that Alicia use to use for the kids so I ordered two for Lizzy.  This is one of them, and then the other one was a solid navy blue.  They are the softest blankets, you can’t help but swaddle and snuggle!!
