August 23, 2018 Outfits

The twins have some really cute matching outfits.  It's so fun to see them all matchy matchy.  I don't know if Alicia will always dress them alike but for now she has alot of the same outfits for them so why not?

August 14, 2018 Knee Surgery

I had put it off long enough.....I was having my other knee, my right one, replaced.  It's been giving me problems for a while and I have done all I can besides getting it replaced to keep it functioning.  So it was time.  I was excited to be getting it done, but also nervous to be getting it done.  It's gonna hurt lol  But on the bright side, then it won't hurt anymore.

Only a few hours after surgery, they had me up and walking the halls.  Ouch!!!

I have more updates on my knee on a blog I have been keeping about this surgery and my last one.

August 6, 2018 Look at those Bellies

They are so cute.  It's just all around amazing to me that we now have these two little babies in our lives.  And I can't even tell you what an awesome mom Alicia is.  I just loved this pic she sent me after one of their feedings.  They look like they are in a total food coma with their bellies just poking out.

August 5, 2018 Golfing

I am not a golfer.   I barely know how and I am not good at it at all.  Kev loves it and he really wants me to learn how and like it so we can golf together.  Whatever.....lol   But for weeks Greg Duke and Kev have been saying so we're golfing soon, don't forget we're golfing on the 5th etc etc.  And I would just laugh.  But then it came to the 5th, so we went golfing.  I have to say, it was fun, but so frustrating cause I really don't know what I'm doing but I guess I'm learning.  Duke was awesome at helping me so that was good.  And really the worst thing was the fact that it took 5 hours and it was 114*.  Ugh so hot.

July 28, 2018 Baby Weekend

Arnold's sister, Liz, was getting married up in Flagstaff and I told Alicia we could keep the babies for them so they could go and not worry and taking care of them.  I pretty much knew the schedule they were on and how she had them eating and how often, I just didn't know how the nights have been cause I am only over there during the day.  But hey, Kev and I were up for the challenge.  They dropped the girls off Saturday morning and then were on their way.

This was a picture of them at the wedding.

The can be all snug and swaddled but still manage to get loose so they can touch each other.

The girls did great, and so did we.  They slept in their pack and play right outside our room so we could hear them which was no problem.  Emery had a hard time getting settled after one of the night feedings, so Kev got up and just held her and rocked her.  They were going to come home on Sunday and get them but I told them we could keep the girls again.  Alicia didn't want to cause she felt bad Emery was fussy, but I told her it was fine and she really wasn't bad at all.  They decided to come back from Flag and then just go home and get a good nights sleep in their own bed.  So we ended up keeping the girls both Sat & Sun night.  Overall I would say we had a successful babysitting weekend.

July 22, 2018 Vincent's Birthday Party

Call her crazy, but Alicia pulled it off.  She organized and had a birthday party for Vincent's 4th birthday.  She rented a big water slide for all the kids, she had pizza and some salads and it ended up being a great day.  Everyone got to see the babies too which was awesome.  I mostly stayed inside with the babies and only ended up getting one picture of Vincent with Alicia and Arnold.

July 19, 2018 Camping

It had only been a couple weeks since the babies were home and Alicia and Arnold were killing it with taking care of them and themselves.  I was barely needed lol  Kev wanted to go camping so since they were in good shape and since I was going to be having knee surgery soon we decided to go up on the rim for a few days.  Since we no longer have our trailer we were back to tenting it.  The weather was great up there, not too cold at night and super nice during the day.  We were getting some afternoon storms and that always makes it nice and clean and great to ride our quads after cause then there isn't any dust.  We only had two small problems.  The 2nd night we were there the thunder and lightning that was going on lasted for hours, and I'll be honest I got scared.  I kept asking Kev, should we go sit in the truck, do you think we're gonna get hit by lightning?  It was crazy.  Once it started raining the lightning and thunder stopped and then the rain was actually soothing to listen to and then I could go to sleep.  Other problem was that my quad broke down.  We were out for a nice ride and were a good 5 miles from camp.  Kev had to pee, so we stopped and I turned off my quad and then we couldn't get it started again.  It was such a pain.  So he decided to tow me back to camp, which isn't a big deal except we had come down this one hill that had quite a few ruts and rocks in the way and he wasn't sure we'd make it back up.  So we decided to try.  Just before we started up the hill Kev says, if you have any problems, just jump off.  Ok.....great.   Well we made it up and at the top stopped for some high fives and then just kept going all the way to camp.

July 16, 2018 Pool time with the Girls

We had the girls for the day and of course they wanted to go swimming.  They love the pool here and it's easy for them to swim in it, even for Avah and Santanah who are limited swimmers.  They saw the roosters in the garage and wanted to take one to the pool with us.  They loved playing on it especially with Kev giving them rides.

July 15, 2018 Babies Photo Session

Now it was time for the twins to get their pictures taken by the photographer that Caitlin had hired as a gift to Alicia.  She asked me to come help cause she just wasn't sure how it would go, plus they were taking Vincent and she thought that one extra set of hands might be helpful.  As it turned out I was needed.  The photo session was like 3 hours long and by the end the babies were getting fussy and Vincent was over it.  I managed to only get a few pics of my own cause there was a lot going on  but overall it was fun to watch what she was setting up for pictures and I'm sure they will all come out cute.
Here are some from the session.  Love them!!!

July 14, 2018 Cock Races

What a crazy fun night!!!  It actually started on Father's Day when we saw someone at the pool that had these two rooster inflatables.  Kev and Greg Duke were all over it.  We needed to get some and then we can go to the lap pool and have races etc etc.
So that's what happened.  They sell the Roosters at Walmart and we bought 4.  And really calling them roosters just wasn't as fun as Cocks.  And believe me as the night went on seeing who could ride a cock the best became the focus.  Kev invited a bunch of people to show up at the lap pool and come down and have some fun.  Before the event actually got started someone was jumping on one of them and broke it so we only ended up having 3 for the races, and then our friend George brought his turtle.
We had partners for each race and it was so fun trying to get your cock and rider down to the end and back.  Those things were not easy to ride.

So Bev here was the best cock rider.  She brought flippers with her and she could outride any other cock rider.  She won the first annual Cock Race Cup!!!

As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
