December 16, 2018 Baby Kevin is One

Since everyone came over to see Santa we decided to celebrate Baby K’s and Avah’s birthdays.  Baby Kevin’s  Birthday is the 22nd and Avah’s was on the 14th.  We had to give the baby his own cake to do whatever he wanted.  It only took him a minute or two and then he was going to town.

O

Avah had her own cake as well cause her birthday was on the 14th.  She was just not happy even though she wanted her cake and presents.

December 16, 2018 Santa Pictures

Every year Santa comes to Encanterra so that families can visit him and have pictures taken.  All the kids came over and we went down to the clubhouse for some photos.  Alicia and Arnold and the kids came in the morning and then Hunter and Jess and their kids came in the afternoon.  We got some pictures of everyone as well as the ones they take and give you.

December 7, 2018 Craft Day

Once again it was our craft day with the girls.  This time it was Cheryl’s turn to plan.  She decided to help us paint gourds, which is something she does a lot of and is amazing at.  For example, check out the Santa gourds she made for eac of us.
So the gourds we were making for craft day were penguins.  Cheryl had already made hers so we would have a sample to follow along with.  Plus she prepainted them white so they would be dry and then we could paint the rest.   It was fun seeing our finished products considering how they started out.

December 2, 2018 Christmas Stroll

This is the 2nd year that we took part in the Christmas Stroll.  The Stroll is an event that Encanterra puts on every year and it’s a program for Toys for Tots.  The community collects thousands of dollars worth of toys and it’s a amazing the generosity from everyone that lives here.  Part of the strip too is that everyone decorates their golf cart and then there’s a parade.  Alicia and Arnold were coming over with Vincent because he wanted to decorate our cart and be in the parade.  It was so fun to see how excited he was to ride in the parade.  We took him up to the clubhouse and we walked around and checked out the decorated golf carts and then the parade started.  We got in and rode with everyone else.  We actually only did part of the parade cause Alicia and Arnold met us on a street corner to pick up Vincent cause they were headed home.  But he loved it and Alicia said all he could talk about was all the carts and how he had to keep ringing the bell so people could hear us coming.  It was so cute.

After the little bit of the parade we did we, as well as everyone who did do the parade met back at the clubhouse and just had some holiday cheer.  A group of us actually hung out at one of the fire pits all night and just enjoyed the night.
Since the guys have their matching shirts that Duke got them, Drunk 1, Drunk 2 and Drunk 3....
Mindy got us matching shirts to go with them for the Stroll.

December 2, 2018 Holiday Pictures for Alicia

Alicia is in a group called Moms of Multiples.  And one of the moms in the group decided to set up her house for families to come in and take pictures.  She was trying to relieve parents and children the hassle of going to the mall and having to deal with that.  She had three different areas in her house decorated and her husband even dressed up as Santa.  She set up appointments so that only one group would be inside the house at a time.  If I remember right we had 20 minutes to take as many pictures and move from setting to setting as we wanted.  I went with them because you had to have someone there to take the pictures.  I just kept clicking cause it never failed 4 of the 5 of them would be looking or 3 of the 5 or only one of them.  It was funny.  Here’s a few of some of the ones I got.

November 28, 2018 Dinner at Liberty Market

Every once in a while I get together with my old PartyLite friends Kim, Kathy and June.  Kathy is usually  the organizer and will send out dates and makes sure something works for all of us. We always want to go somewhere where we can sit and hang out and talk cause we don’t see each other very often.  June suggested Liberty Market in downtown Gilbert so that’s where we ended up.  I had never been there so I was happy to give something new a try.  The food was good, and we had a fun time catching up.

November 22, 2018 Thanksgiving

I had Thanksgiving at my house but it was just a few of us.  Barbara & Tommy were up in Prescott, so Kristien and Heath and the girls went up there.  And then Mary was in Denver with Teresa.  Alicia was having Arnold’s family at her house so it ended up being just Heather was available.  So Heather and her boyfriend David were going to come and then David’s parents and brother came as well.  It was our first time meeting them so it was fun to get to know them and of course just sit around and eat.
I didn’t take any pictures but Alicia sent me some of the girls and Vincent in these cute shirts she had made.

November 20, 2018 Twins Swim Lessons

Alicia had found out that the Hubbard Swim School gave free swim lessons to infants until they are 6 months old.  So she decided it would be something her and Arnold could do together and that it may be kind of fun.  I had to go check it out to see how they would do.  And OMG it was the cutest thing to watch.  They loved being in the water and were so relaxed.  It’s a 1/2 hour class and to me it seemed to go by so fast.  The instructor has them do a few different things and the parents just follow along and sing songs and look in their faces to keep them focused.  I loved being able to see them and take pictures.

As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
