July 16 - 19 PartyLite Conference 2009

There is always a theme to our conferences and
this year it was "PartyLite, Life in a whole new Light"

It was really cool. At one of the sessions, the
President of our company, JP, came walking out
into the audience and was looking for my
friend Terry McDow. She proceeded to tell
him that she was going to promote to RVP by
Oct 1st and then he gave her $1,000. Awesome!!

Group photo on the last day.

Kim and I always have a party in our room for
all the other girls in the unit. So we go and get
food, drinks etc and then we celebrate all
together, it's an annual thing and super fun.
We found a bar to order food at and while
we were waiting we thought we would have a
cocktail to get the night started. This was
after I had told the bartender that we needed
a drink and all the food we ordered cause we
hadn't left the hotel in 3 days. She was like
okay, whatever.

The annual group photo on the bed, and since
I now know how to use my self timer I was
the one that jumped in at the end.

July 15, 2009

Headed off to Atlanta tonight
for my 12th PartyLite National
Conference. Can't wait to spend
a few days with my other PartyLite
friends and find out what's new.

July 11, 2009 Me & My Honey

Today is our 11th Wedding Anniversary.
I don't know how I got so lucky......

July 8, 2009 Heather makes Dinner

Heather came over tonight to make dinner for
us. It was such a treat and really delicious.
She wasn't worried whether we would like it or
not, but she was worried about Alicia. But good
news, she passed the critics test.....she liked it,
it was yummy!!!
Thanks Heather, please come back and do it again.

July 8, 2009 Jet Skiing

Kev and I always talked about renting some
jet skis and going to the lake, so today we did
just that. It was our treat to ourselves for
our Anniversary which is Saturday.
It was such a blast. We went to Saguaro Lake
and played all day. Well not all day, we got tired
and even came back before we had to.

Kev had the jet ski that shot water out the back
so he continued to buzz around me and drench me
with his ski. He thought it was so funny, but
it was so hot, I didn't mind it actually felt good.

July 6, 2009 More Elk

We decided to make the 4th of July weekend
last as long as possible so we didn't leave
Janet's til early Monday morning. We drove
the back roads behind Mormon Lake, Strawberry,
Pine etc. to get home. It was a nice drive
with us being the only ones on the road.
Of course we had the usual elk spotting
contest because we saw a ton of them.
We saw two large groups of bull elk and I swear
if Kevin could have dropped me off and picked
up one of them to take home he would have.

July 4, 2009 Flagstaff

We spent the 4th of July weekend up in Flagstaff
at my sister Janet's house. Barbara & Tommy
were also there. It was a nice relaxing, cool &
rainy weekend.
What is a 4th of July party with out the standard
flag cake? Super Yummy!!!

Somehow Tommy got stuck doing all the barbecuing
each night. He had it down to a science because
as soon as he had everything pulled off the grill
the rain would start. One night Barbara did
have to hold the umbrella over him for the last
few minutes.

June 2009 Camping Pictures

One of our weekends camping was with our
friends Barb and Mark. They have a camp trailer
and came up and spent the weekend with us.

We took a ride (in the truck) down to Colcord
where Kent & Cindy Dixon live. They were
having poker night. It was definitely a version
of camping that I like. Here is a picture of their
cabin....a bigger then my house cabin.

The day after poker we all met up at the
Colcord Tower on our quads and went for a
ride down to Clay Spring.

June 2009 More Camping Pictures

Since we went camping every weekend in
June I have a few more pictures to post.
On Father's Day weekend both Paul
& Alicia came up and hung out with us.

Paul collecting firewood.

Alicia collecting firewood, and Kev thinks
she's from Jupiter.....

Kev fishing and actually catching one.

Then here's Alicia & I fishing......

I figured out how to use my self timer.

One of the many lakes up on the rim, but now
a favorite. We caught a bunch of trout here.
I say we but you saw how I fish. I do carry
the tackle box from the truck to the lake!!

Another picture with my self timer.

As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
