April 19, 2010 Quad Ride

We went out to one of our favorite places to ride since it was Kev's day off and the weather was really nice. It was alot greener when we were out there a couple of months ago, but right now alot of flowers are still in bloom so it's still real pretty. We ended up riding to the top of this one mountain which was pretty steep only I didn't know it cause I was just following Kev like I normally do. There were a few parts that were a little tricky but I made it. When I got up there Kev was like "good job baby, you made it all the way." Then I realized once I turned around how steep it was. On the way down there was one part that I had to let Kev manuever my quad cause I was stuck and my wheels were off the ground. Why roll if you don't have to right?

April 17, 2010 Hayden's 2nd Birthday Party

My niece Maureen had a birthday party for her little girl, Hayden. She turned 2 and the party was at this really nice park in Peoria. There was a great playground for all the kids to play on, but of course there was a pinata filled with lots of toys for all the little ones. They let Michael, Stephanie's son be the last one to hit it and he swung so hard he knocked it off it's string. Then Chris dumped eveything and the scramble began.

Brenden, my nephew Chris's son was so patient just waiting for all the goddies to come out.

I took Kinsley over to the playground and she just wanted to keep going higher on her swing.....higher Aunt Elaine, push me higher!!!

Maureen had these cute little things called Lollicakes, they were cake lollipops. They were really cute and just the right amount, plus you got to bite your lollipop!!

April 10, 2010 Vegas Baby

After the wedding reception on Saturday night, everyone went downtown to hang out. It had to of course start with a slushie drink from The Bayou, then we hit the tables. It was really alot of fun cause we all played on the same table together. I had to keep Madeline in check cause she kept telling me "Elaine....I can drink a case of beer, I really can, I can drink alot of beer, but this drink........man I am so messed up right now." So then JR & I had to help her count, (imagine that me helping someone count) and tell her when to hit or not to hit and then when she lost, why she lost. It's black jack so if the dealer has more then you then you lose!!!

That's Brandon sitting down, the groom, with some of his buddies from the wedding and Kev letting all of us know he's a loser so he is no longer on the table.

April 10, 2010 Kimi & Brandon's Reception

After the wedding at the Belagio, there were are a few hours to kill and then the reception. Kimi & Brandon had rented a house for their reception. It was a great place with lots of open space and room for everything. They had tables and chairs set up outside for eating and then a chocolate fountain with fruit and their wedding cake and champagne inside.

Let me tell you how cute the cake was....it was super cute. The top layer was a square cake, and that was just so that they would have something to cut, and then the rest was cupcakes in all kinds of different flavors. Really cute and very yummy!!!

April 10, 2010 Kimi & Brandon's Wedding

Alicia's friend Kimi got married at the Belagio in Las Vegas. Both Alicia and Veronica were her bridesmaids. It was outside on one of the balconies overlooking all the water. As soon as the ceremony was over the watershow started, it was amazing the timing!!!

No Kev did not wear his hat during the Wedding....he put it on afterwards because we were outside and it was bright and sunny. I know you were wondering!!!

April 9, 2010 Hoover Dam

We drove to Vegas for the weekend and had a little delay at Hoover Dam. They are building a new bridge to avoid having to go over the dam and will definitely speed up driving. It took us an hour to get across the dam, and it's not because of the construction, but everyone likes to go real slow and check it all out and plus there are so many tourists walking around as well.

This picture makes it look like the bridge is just a little higher then the road, but it's not....it's really high!!

April 4, 2010 Easter at Mary's

It was a nice relaxing day. We went to Mary's around 10:00 and had a delicious breakfast with Barb, Tom, Colleen, Mary, Kev, Heather & Brent, Paul & Alicia.
I made Easter Baskets for the kids, so when we got to Mary's Alicia hid them since she had to find hers at home. Colleen was not happy, cause she wanted to look for a basket too but Mary didn't hide one for her. Next year, there will be basket & egg hiding!!!!

As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
