Easter

It was so cute. Annaliese came over Easter morning and Kev had put some plastic eggs all around the back yard. She totally got what she was suppose to do. She would pick one up and then walk over and put it in her basket. Then she figured out how to carry it around. It was really fun watching her run all over.

Cookies

My boss Deb at work had sampled my chocolate peanut butter cookies I had brought to work one day and asked me if she could pay me to make some for her.  Her son was getting married and she was having the rehearsal dinner at her house and it was a zebra/zoo theme.  So I whipped up a bunch of them (haha, you put peanut butter on ritz crackers and dip them in chocolate) and then I put stripes on them.  I thought they came out really cute and she said everyone loved them, the taste and how they looked.

This is a picture of Deb with her 3 boys from the wedding.

Glad I Wasn't Driving

Kev and I were doing good going to get our taxes done, I think pretty early, a whole month before they were due.  The news wasn't great, but I didn't cry.  The tax guy said I shouldn't let stuff like that bother me so we got all we needed, including the coupon to send our payment in and went on our way home.

On the way home we were driving north on Alma School Rd in the right hand lane and a guy in the lane to the left of us decided he wanted to make a right hand turn.  Well helloooooo we are in this lane!!!  More sadness added to the night, he hit us and we now have a nice size dent in the side of our truck.  We met up at the gas station across the street.  I of course called the cops cause there was no way I was going to let someone not get blamed for hitting me again.  (Happened to me a few years ago, I was on my way to work at 4am and a guy hit me. We didn't call the cops and by the time I called my insurance he had already called them and said I hit him.)  Anyways, the cops came, we exchanged insurance information and came home.
Can I cry yet?   Well I did, it was a long week, bad day and then a bad night.  Oh well no one was hurt and it can be fixed.  Just frustrating.

He got it worse then we did, but considering the truck really didn't have any dents in it, it sucked.  Oh and he did get a ticket.

April 27, 2013 Another Big Gap

It is so easy for me to fall behind on my blog.  One day goes by and then another and before you know it it's been over a month since my last post.  It's always hard to catch up but I don't want to not post different things that have been going on so I have to find the time to get that all done.

I was just sitting here reading my sister Janet's blog.  She started one when she went to Italy so that she could keep all of us up on what she is doing and also so she has an ongoing journal of her travels.  I've really been enjoying it and that made me realize again that I need to stay on top of mine.  If you want to check out her blog the address is jmcstravels.blogspot.com.  The pictures are all so good and she has great stories to tell, you'll see when you read it.

Now on the home front....it's Saturday night and Kev and I were just sitting here watching the movie "This is 40."  Not sure if any of you have seen it, but I have to say I thought it sucked.  It's really not funny like I thought it would be and it seems to jump around alot.  Kev and I both kept thinking it would get better and when I saw him dozing off I realized he wasn't enjoying it, just like I wasn't.  So we turned it off.  I was actually more into playing a game on my phone called Candy Crush.
Pretty much addicted, but I really only get to play for a little bit at night cause you only have so many turns before you run out of moves which I always do and it takes a while to get more.  So I play til I run out, which is pretty quick and then go to sleep.  I am only on level 30 and I think it goes up to level 200.

I needed to make a post, I didn't like that there was another big gap between my posts, so now I've done one and will just have to do some more to catch up with some pictures and stories.
As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
