August 10, 2010 Mowing the Lawn

I don't have any photos of this awesome event, but I thought it still needed it's own post. I was feeling bad since it's been so hot out and Kev has just been dying in this heat, so I told him I was going to mow the lawn for him. He kind of chuckled and said I'll do it, it's fine. But then I got up and was going out to mow and I asked Kev what to do. He said, push the button 3 times and then pull. So I go outside, get the mower in the grass, push the button 3 times and I pull. And I pull again, and then again. And it started!!!! So off I went. I mowed the back and the front. I have to say, I was kind of excited. Now the mowing did not include edging. That's a whole new task I still have to learn but not really sure I want to. Almost every time Kev is out there edging, the edger gets tossed across the yard and choice words are spoken. Just not sure I'm ready for it. When Kev came home from work, he said the yard looked awesome. It even looked better then when he does it. That's code for I hope you keep doing it so I don't have to.

As of January 2009, I no longer have a job. It's not that I lost it, but after 26 1/2 years of working at the Post Office, I retired. According to everyone I know, I don't do anything all day, so I decided to start a blog. Now I can blog about what I don't do all day. I am married to Kevin, who is the most awesome husband I could ever have. It's because of him, that I do not go to work any more. I love that and I love him for that. Between the 2 of us we have 4 children. Hunter 31, Heather 29, Paul 28 and Alicia 26.
